“Trick or Treat”

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 6:34 pm on Monday, October 23, 2006

Halloween is coming so soon. We have here in our Community the so called "Trick or Treat", where children are going to wear different Halloween customes , knock in the doors of our houses and ask for candies. Of course, I’m kinda excited for that, that’s why we already bought a couple of bags of chocolate candies for the kids here in our place. In fact, I’m planning to wear a "witch" custome too. What do you think? Do you think it will looks good on me?…lol…Anyway, we will see then. We will cross that bridge when we come to it. I’m excited because I love kids. I want to participate in that kind of celebration because this is for the children. I want them to be happy and I like seeing them wearing different customes. It’s cute!!! It just children can easily touch my heart. In terms of kids, I’m really soft and sensitive. I don’t know, it just me. That’s why someday I want to have my own child. My husband and I are kinda planning for that time but not yet now. Maybe soon when we are both ready for that moment in our lives. For now, we just want to enjoy ourselves together, only the two of us and do whatever we wants to enjoy our lives in the fullest. Anyway, I still have to buy a halloween bucket and my witch hat. And when Halloween comes, I’m going to take a couple of pictures as a remembrance. Because I like taking pictures and also I will make a scrapbook about it. I just wish my ‘Baby Scott’ will be there with me in that time but he is working night shift now…awww…But it’s ok then, I will just wait for him until he get home. And I’m sure, I will be excited to tell him what has happened to me in that day. How did I enjoyed celebrating the Halloween together with the kids here in our Community? I will just make a blog again and tell my experience about it soon…

First snow of the Season here in CS…

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 8:44 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2006

I was really amazed yesterday about the showering of the snow in our place . This is the first snow of the Season here in Colorado Springs. I just remembered the last time I’ve seen snow was when I just got here. I think, that was last winter time. Winter Season is coming again and seems the weather begins to get cooler. I’m looking forward for that time even though I know that it’s really cold. That’s why I’m just enjoying looking the snow outside from the window inside our house. It’s really fascinated me! It’s so white and it’s pretty. In fact yesterday even I’m freezing my ass off…lol…I still went outside and took a couple of pictures of the snow. In that moment, I can feel the snow showering all over my body. It just reminds me of the upcoming Christmas. I just said to myself, "This is the White Christmas". I begin to feel the essence of Christmas Season. I’m excited for that time too. Anyway, once I have seen the snow outside yesterday, I quickly texted my hubby in his cellphone and told about it. He was at work in that time and he gave me a phone call then. I just told him how pretty the snow outside was, as in all white even the roads. I’ve told him too to be careful going back home after his work because it’s very slippery outside. Because it’s hard to drive in the roads covered with snow. My hubby was aware of that too and he knows how to take care of himself. I just want my ‘baby Scott’ be safe as always because I love him. I’m always thinking of him like the way he did to me. I just waited for him until he got home and then we ate our dinner together. I remembered yesterday when he got home finally, I heared him saying "Honey I’m home" and then he gave me a hugs and kisses…He carried me by his arms and said, "Finally baby I’m home, I feel warm now and we can get relax together"…

“Taxi Cab”…

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 6:53 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2006

The other day, since I want to go out from the house, I have decided to accompany Dale, who is the stepdad of my husband to go to his Bank and go shopping in Walmart too. Apparently in that time, we have to rent a Taxi Cab because Scott is at work and no one will drive for us. Dale can’t drive because he’s already old and he got problems with his eyes-the blindspots. I can’t drive either because I’m not ready to drive in the free way. I had still many things to learn about driving. Scott and I are still working on it up to now. In that time too, I’m not yet finish cleaning up our house when Dale invited me to join him. I just stopped what I’m doing and told to myself that I will just continue when we got back home. I quickly get dressed and then made a phone call for a Taxi Cab. After a few minutes or so, the Taxi Cab has arrived. The driver is a wowan. She picked up both of us from the house. She seems freindly and a nice girl. In fact, she easily recognized me as a ‘Filipino". She told me that she had quite few Filipino freinds. She can also speaks a little bit of ‘Tagalog’. She brought us in the Bank and then to "Waliworld" or Walmart. She charged us $22.00 for the rent. Not bad because we have been in two places. Dale gave her a couple of dollars too as a tip for being a nice person. After she had brought us from there, we started to went shopping then. Dale bought a few items for himself like sweet foods, fruits and vegetables. I just helped him by assisting him because he can’t barely walk. I’m just glad that I had helped him. I liked doing that and he is a nice person. He seems the ‘real’ father of my husband and we are all living in the same house. It’s really my pleasure helping him and to the mere fact that it was an experienced for me too. At least, I know how to rent a Taxi Cab now and got the idea of how much it will cost?.  After we’ve finished shopping, we relaxed a little bit in the bench outside Walmart. And then I just called a Taxi Cab again going back home. While waiting for a Taxi Cab to be arrive, I’ve got a phone call from my husband Scott. He don’t have any idea why I’m there in Walmart?. I just told him that I accompanied his stepdad Dale to do his errands. I left him a text messages before but unfortunately he didn’t get it because his phone is charging in that time. But of course, Scott is happy that I’m helping his stepdad. He also said that it’s a new experience for me. Scott wants me to learn, to become an independent and he is happy about that. He knows that I’m wiling to learn a new things in life. Anyway, finally the Taxi Cab has arrived. The driver is a man this time. Hmmm…I don’t like him. Because he’s not gentleman. He suppose to help us carry out our things going inside the Taxi Cab but he’s just watching both of us. I guess, he is different. I just told to myself that different people-different drivers. After we’ve picked up our shopping bags. Did you know that the driver offers me to sit in front seat besides him? I said " No thank you" I will just sit in the back seat. After all he had done "No way". Dale and I just looking with each other and said "Oh well". Maybe this guy don’t know that I’m already married that’s why he’s kinda flirting with me. In fact, when we got home he gave a calling card to me and told me that If I need him, I can call him anytime. I just said "Thank you" by being respectful. Guess what? He charged Dale $25.00 for the rent. Omg…our house just near in Walmart and it’s only one route. On our first trip we’ve been in two places but she only charged us $22.00 but now he charged us $25.00, it’s expensive for me. I just keep quiet and try to calm myself. I guess again, it’s different people with different attitudes. I just want to share my experienced regarding that matter. When we finally got home, I just organized the shopped items and finished doing my household things. When my ‘baby Scott’ got home from work in that day, I’ve told him all everything I have experienced. He’s kinda laughing to me when I told him about the Taxi driver who was flirting with me before. He said to me that "he likes you huh?" and his first question to me is what I’m wearing in that time?…lol…I said, I’m just wearing comfortable clothings like shirt and short. And then he said "I know now because you’re wearing a short"…lol…I know he’s just being fisicious. We are laughing our ass off then…lol…My husband and I are open with each other. I told him everything what’s happening to me in everyday and so he does. Anyway, at least now I have an idea on what I’m going to do just in case I want to rent a Taxi Cab again. In fact, I’m planning too because I want to go to the mall to buy a gift for my ‘baby Scott’ for his upcoming birthday. I want to surprise him!!!

T-Mobile Stuffs!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 6:43 pm on Friday, October 6, 2006

I’m excited everytime my husband Scott went home from work. Not only because I had missed him for the whole day but it’s also because he always surprised me. He always brought something for me, for his ‘babycakes’ when he got home. The other night he surprised me with few Chocolates. He said that he got that from his work in "T-Mobile", he said they gave that for him. Because he is always thinking of me, instead of eating the chocolates, he keep and save that for me. Because he knows that "I love chocolates". A lot of stuffs in the house right now given by his Company. We’ve got different stuffs like T-shirt, bags, cellphone accessories, mugs, and etc…It’s so many to mention. I kept mostly of the stuffs because I want to send it to my family in the Philippines. And now, since Christmas is coming, I’m sure Scott will receive more gifts from T-Mobile. Yipee!!! I will have more things to send. We used the other stuffs in the house too, it’s useful in everyday. I want to share the others stuffs to my family when we have a chance to send packages. It just made me happy because we have something to share and give with. That’s why I’m always looking forward for my ‘baby Scott’ getting home, for the surprises he is always giving me. We are using a T-Mobile cellphones too. We’ve got a good benefits received as an employee rate/plan. Not only calling and texting features but also we can go online using our phones. It’s just find me interesting how I had collected all of those stuffs and kept in my cabinet. It’s a T-Mobile with their motto "Stick Together"…

Our “Zuzi” car is on his way…

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 6:55 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2006

Our "Zuzi" car is on his way now.  What I mean is our Zuzuki car, the blue one. Last time we bought a new car battery for him. And last saturday we just brought him in the Firestone, a motor vehicles shop here to have his full check up, oil changes and also he undergone emission test. Scott and I treated our cars like a persons, that’s why we’ve made names for them. I remembered one time, Scott told me that "car is like an extension of oneself." Anyway, while waiting for "Zuzi" to be finish in that time. We just went to the shopping mall, which is just across the Firestone. It’s called the Chapel Hills Mall. We’ve eaten our lunch there in "Ruby Tuesday" restaurant and started window shopping. Since we are already there, we just decided to used our "hot topic" giftcard. I just bought a ‘tank top’ in that store. We dropped by in different boutiques too. And of course, I will not forget my favorite section in the mall "Victoria’s Secret" store.  I bought my perfume there, it’s the "love spell".  When we got tired from walking, we just went to food court section to have something to drink. And then we just decided to have a sit in the bench near the fountain area while waiting for the time. After the waiting period, we just went back ahead to the Firestone to checked if it’s already done. We waited for another 30 minutes and then it’s finished. While sitting and waiting there, I’m talking to the Thai girl. She seems a nice person. She have a thick accent and been married to a Caucasian too. We just talked about driving stuffs. And then we departed, going back home, our home-sweet-home. It’s just good to know that we have two cars running now. The first one is "KC", the black one and the second one is of course "Zuzi", the blue one. "KC" is a saturn type of car and "Zuzi" is a Zuzuki car. Scott and I are both trying to work out everything for both of us. When I already know how to drive and get my Driver’s License, that will be so cool! I can help Scott now doing some errands and do what I like to do. Cars are important most especially in the type of culture here in USA. It’s very helpful to work, do some errands and most especially in emergency situations. It’s not the cost of the person’s car but it’s function and usefulness in everyday living.

Finally done with Driver’s Permit Test (Long Friday)…

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 10:20 pm on Monday, October 2, 2006

Whooo! Thanks God! I am finally done with my Driving written exam. It was a long friday for the two of us, Scott and I. We woke up early in that day in order to do some errands. First, we went to Scott’s workplace in T-Mobile to get his new bid shift. Again, he is going to work  a night shift schedule up to early in the morning (1:30 am) Gosh! Yes, it’s hard but it’s ok too because we can say that we are both a night persons. We can stay awake long during the night. And of course, My Baby will get his night deferential again. It means extra income for both of us. After he got his new schedule, we went to "Denny" Restaurant to have some breakfast. We are kinda hungry in that time. I need energy too because I am going to take an exam. We’ve arrived in Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) around 12:00 noonish. When we got there, so many people waiting in line. We followed the long line too until our time came to talk to the Receptionist about our purpose. The Receptionist asked for my Identifications. That’s why I gave my Passport, Greencard and also my Social Security Card. He told us both to photocopy my Greencard and Social Security Card and come back again. It’s all good that he already gave our number. When we came back, He said that ‘It should be two copies not only one’…grrrr…Scott said ‘I taught you just said one copy only? I can give you a dime now, it just cost 10 cents for photocopy’…lol… I guess he changes his mind and offers to photocopy our document inside the office. We just said "that’s good, thanks". When he got back, he said that we have to wait until our number was called. It’s "hurry up and wait" guys. We just sitted there both while waiting for our number to be called. Our number is 284 and guess what? only 153 flashing on the board in that time. Patience Ashley…patience Scott…lol…I remembered Scott keeps going out either went for a walk or smokes. When he came back, he already bought drinks for us while waiting. I’m just glad that we already eaten before we go there. So many people waiting inside the building. Ok wait and wait again…until finally we’ve heared our number was called. Yehey!!! We’ve been waiting for so long. The personnel in charges of us is an Asian girl too. Cool! She just got my Greencard, Social Security Card and the xerox copies. She gave me a test paper and instructed me to go in the testing area. This is it! The test is up to 25 items. It’s a kinda confusing a little bit but I’m just glad I’ve passed the test. Because here in Colorado, 80% is the passing rate. So it means, you must only have five mistakes or less than that out of 25 items to pass the exam. Because if it’s more than that, you are going to fail. It’s either take the exam again or go back when you’re ready to take the test. Ouch! Fortunately, I did it. But you know what? I’m really nervous in that time because I don’t want to fail, go back and then wait for so long again. We are waiting for that moment since the beginning. So that Scott can starts teach me how to drive then. I do really want to learn how to drive. It’s a privilege for me. I will have more freedom and go wherever I want to go. I can visits my freinds, go shopping and work without having to worry of my transportation. After I take the exam, I went back to the personnel and then she asked me few questions. Like "If I’m willing to become an organ or tissue donor?". I said Yes, it means I can help other people when my time came. She also gave me a ‘vision test’. It’s all good then because I am wearing my eye glasses in that time and I will not drive without it. And then she instructed us to go to Cashier section and wait until my name was called to pay for the Instruction Permit ID. My name was called then, we paid for my Instruction Permit ID. The lady personnel next to cashier took my picture, got my fingerprints and asked for my signature. I remembered the lady personnel said that I have a very good picture. I guess, it’s a compliment. I just said "thank you kindly" as a responds to her. She gave me a temporary document valid for 30 days and told me to wait until my Instruction permit ID send through mail.  I feel so much relief after. Because I’ve passed the test. I’ve prepared for that time, in fact before I take the exam, I reviewed the Colorado Driving Manual. At least we already finished that thing. The next step is learning for me how to drive in actual. It’s matter of time. I’m again very thankful for having my baby Scott in life. He is very supportive to me. He gives me confidence that I can make it! "It’s just one foot in front of the other". One step at a time. Learning is a long process but with God’s grace, we can make it, most especially this is for me. I just said to myself that one day "I will drive for my husband this time instead of him driving for me". So that I know the feeling and "experience is the best teacher".
