It was a lovely Valentine’s Day!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 11:41 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2007

I know it’s a kinda late right now writing this blog of mine about the celebration of our Valentine’s Day before. It’s just because I don’t have time before because I had so many things need to be done first in that time. But remember there’s always a saying that "it’s better to be late than never". Anyway to begin with, Scott and I celebrated this special ocassion together. It was our second time of celebrating Valentine’s Day together here in Colorado Springs. This past Valentine’s Day, my husband Scott gave me a beautiful red roses and ‘cutey’ red stuffed toy. He is really a sweetheart!!! I know he likes surprising me every once in a while. That is one of his endearing qualities. He gave that Valentine gifts for me when he got home from work. That’s why I’m really surprised. He just called my name in that time, showed those thoughtful gifts from him and then gave it to me. So that I gave him a lot of kisses and hugs then. I have teary eyes in that moment..lol..because my heart was both filled of happiness and excitement in that time. I just thanked him and said "I love you so much Baby". Before the Valentine’s Day, we already did our little celebration by having lunch in Empire Asian Buffet Restaurant. It’s a big Restaurant with so many people eating there in that time. It’s because they served pretty good foods and it’s a variety of Asian foods. I miss Filipino foods every once in a while..lol..I don’t even forget our Valentine’s celebration last year. We celebrated that special ocassion of us at home. So that it’s more intimate and romantic. We have our dinner in bed and bubble bathed together. Scott even gave me a very relaxing massage. Scott also gave me a bouquet of red roses. Because he knows that I love roses. That was one of our wonderful days together as husband and wife. And now our relationship grows stronger than before. We have been married for two years now. It’s just a nice feeling to have someone you love and then loves you without boundaries. That’s why I like this sweet thoughts for Valentine’s Day…

You make me smile when I feel sad. You forgive me even if I make you mad. You taught me what’s right and wrong. You also taught me how to sing a song. There’s one more thing you need to know. You are loved more than words can ever show. There is nothing more than I can say. Just have a lovely Valentine’s Day!!!

My First Year!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 8:38 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2007

It was my first year here in USA last February 7th, 2007. I can’t believe that I’m already one year here in Colorado Springs. I can say that time really past by so quickly. I just arrived here last year and now it’s been a year that I’m already here. My date of arrival before was February 7th, 2006 and my Port of Entry was LAX- Los Angeles Airport. The first time I saw USA, I was really amazed with the sceneries but the "weather" was a big shocked for me. I remembered that time when I first arrived here in Colorado Springs. In the CS Airport, my husband Scott bought me a sweater because I have no idea how’s the weather out there-outside the airport?..lol..I’m confident at first that I will not freeze my ass off because I get used with the wethear in the Philippines. But when we went outside…omg…the first statement that came out from my mouth was "I feel I’m living inside the refrigerator"…lol…I told it to my husband and then he started to laughed at me. Up to now everytime I’m thinking of that experienced of mine, I’m laughing my ass off..lol..I rememberd Scott carried both of our luggages in that time so that I can keep myself warm because he knows that I’m so so cold. Poor Scott! He carried two heavy luggages for both of us. I love you baby!!! But at the same token we were very thankful that there was a bus outside the Aiport that brought us in the area where our car parked. I felt much better when we went inside the car because of the heater there and when we finally got home- to our "home-sweet-home". "Welcome Ashley"..lol..Anyway, we both celebrated my first Anniversary here in USA by having a lunch in "Applebees" Restaurant. They served pretty good food there. That’s why we decided to ate there. We also did a little bit of shopping in Chapel Hills Mall. I love shopping!!! It’s me…We just rented few movies from ‘Blockbuster’ too and then watched the movies the whole night while we are both eating popcorns..lol..We just like being together, you know! most especially in celebrating different ocassions. In that day too, we went to "Mountain Shadows Vision Center" for the new prescription of my eyes and for my new pair of eye glasses. It was a long day for both of us but we do really enjoyed each others moments as husband and wife..as lovers and bestfreinds..

“2nd Wedding Anniversary”

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 7:52 pm on Friday, February 2, 2007

I’ve finally got a chance to write a blog about the celebration of our 2nd Wedding Anniversary here in Colorado Springs. I been busy this past few days because of my work. Time really past by quickly. I remembered we just got married in the Philippines before last January 21th, 2005. Now we were already married for 2 years. That was our first time to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary together and here in USA. We got married in my home Country and then on our first Wedding Anniversary we were far away from each other and were both waiting for the processings of our petition. It’s a kinda hurry up and wait..lol..it’s all good then because it was over! We been there and done that already! We are together now here in Colorado Springs and enjoying each other time. Anyways, last January 21th of this year was our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. We celebrated that special ocassion of us at home and by having a dinner date in a Restaurant. At home, Scott cooked some foods as part of our celebration.  And then in the following days, we went out for our dinner date in "Red Lobster" Restaurant. We both love seafoods that’s why we decided to went there. We are really excited for that special moments of us that’s why we already have gift card from Red Lobster. I can say that we were both happy in that moment because our hearts were both filled of excitements. We are very thankful too that our relationship grows stronger than before. We both shows each other love and affections then in that time. I will never forget that special moments of us being together. I just want to thank God for all everything; for giving my beloved husband to me, for making our relationship grows beautifully than ever before, and for all the blessings He had given to both of us, Scott and I. Anyways, we have another celebrations to look forward to again: my 1st year arrival here in USA and of course the "Valentines Day" favorite day of the couples/lovers. I can’t wait and I’m excited again because we like celebrating different ocassions together…our special moments together…coming soon…

It’s all worth it!!!

We’ve finally get rid of our stuffs from the Public Storages facilities. We’ve got two storages there with a lot of things on each of them. It’s really a rhetorical question..lol..mostly furnitures, appliances and antiques stuffs. We’ve been paying for those storages for two years. That’s why we decided to did something about it. How to get rid of those; so that we are not going to pay monthly rent anymore for those storages. I remembered one time Scott told me that it was really pain in the ass paying for those rents..lol..because it’s a kinda the same thing that we are paying for the mortgages of the house. So we are just very glad that it’s over now! It takes a lot of time and money just to get rid of those.  But the important thing now is: "stick a fork on us because we’re done"..lol..like what other people said..We been busy this past few days doing errands regarding about those. I can say that we spend two whole days affairs in order to take care of our storages stuffs. Scott used those two days as a day offs from his work. He used those days as a vacation leave. I worked for one day and the second day is luckily was my day off too..lol..We have to do what we have to do then. Scott picked me up after my work and then we continued getting rid of the other stuffs we have there from our storages. Scott already begin donating stuffs in the "Goodwill" before he picked me up from work. We were both going back and forth..back and forth..I feel I have no ass at all..lol..so many times, it seems we travel into another City here in CO if you’re just going to estimate the miles..lol..it’s all good then at least we will be able to help other people most especially those in needs. We donated a lot of things like clothings, blankets, books, few appliances and other furnitures. This time we asked for the receipts for our tax purposes. The employees from Goodwill already recognized both of us because we were always there. It’s not yet finish though; We still have some stuffs in the house that we would like to give in the Goodwill. I’m sure they will be happy again because of something that we can give and share into others. From the storage facilities going to Goodwill, going back and forth, made both of us, ‘as in’, really tired. In fact in the following day when we woke in that morning, our bodies were both sore and aching..lol..We really want to stay in bed because it’s pretty cold and we’re both tired from yesterday. But we have to get up because we have an appointment from the "Ross Auction" personnels. They are going to get all of our stuffs from the storages and then they are going to sell those things. We received a phone call from them that they are already there in the Public Storages. We quickly get dressed then and went directly to the storages facilities. They came early there which is a good thing. It’s better to be early than late..When we arrived, they started doing the inventory of all stuffs we’ve got there in the storages and then load those things in their truck. In that time while they are all busy organizing our stuffs, I started to feel cold because of the wind blows. I went inside our car to keep myself warm. I’m already wearing my black coat but I can still feel the ‘chillin’ weather. After they finished loading things in the truck, we decided to take a break and have something to eat then. They have to go back again for the second load of truck because we still got so many stuffs left in the storages. After a few hours, we were all there again to continue the unfinish Business we just started. They begin loading the stuffs again in their truck until it was all done. Scott just signed the papers as an agreement between the ‘Ross Auction House’ and from both of us. We paid the necessary amounts for the truck loads and service fees including the tip. We just thanked them for the good job they did and we are just going to give them a call again regarding about it. When they already gone, we started cleaning up the storages facilities and tell the Mngr. in charge in the Public Storages that we don’t have stuffs there anymore. It means we are not going to pay rent anymore. Yehey! In addition to that, we are going to get something from our stuffs the Ross Auction is going to sell. Thanks God for small favors! It’s already night when we finally back home. We’re both tired but I can say that "it’s all worth it".

Best Christmas!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 9:22 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2006

"Christmas Celebration" it was one of the best days of our lives. How can I forget it? It was our first Christmas together here in United States. Scott, myself with our pet ‘pewee’ celebrated our Christmas moments together in our simple ‘home-sweet-home’ here in Colorado Springs. I remembered yesterday Scott woke me up with a lot of kisses and hugs. How sweet!!! After that , he greeted me a ‘Merry Christmas’ and then said " Baby I thank you for having you in my life, I’m so glad you’re here with me right now and I love you so much." I just replied to him by saying " I love you too Baby, you’re the best thing that happened to my life, and I’m happy too that we are together now this Christmas Day". When I was still there in the Philippines, I been waiting for those moments that we can be together, in celebrating different ocassions.  Scott and I like celebrating different ocassions together. You know just being together and enjoying each other companies. It’s like a simple things of our lives that makes both of us happy. In that day of Christmas, we both opened our Christmas gifts for each other. I opened up my Christmas gifts first and then Scott opened up his presents. It was one of the exciting moments of our lives. That’s why we took a couple pictures of us while opening up our Christmas presents as a remembrance. Scott is really a sweetheart!!! He gave me few clothings like sweater, panjama set, shirt and my ‘cutey’ snowflakes teddy bear. I think, I’ve got enought gifts received this Christmas. He also purchased me a ’scrapbookmax’ software because he knows that I like scrapbooking. In addition to that, part of his gifts for me was the snow boots he bought for me. I can’t really ask for more. We just have a simple life but I can say that we are so happy together. We always compliment each other every once in a while. And since Scott like watching movies. I bought him a couple of Dvd movies as my gifts for him. We also bought a Christmas present for our cat ‘pewee’. We bought him a collar with bell so we can always hear him walking around the house..lol..Our kitty is part of our family too. He seems like a human being for both of us. We like taking care of him and playing with him. Because he is our family, that’s why we love him. After the opening of our gifts, we went outside and took a few pictures in the snow. We have a ‘white Christmas’ here in Colorado Springs. Because during Christmas Day, we have a little bit showering of snow again after the snow blizard passed here in CO the other day. We just played in the snow just a little bit because it’s very very cold outside..lol..As in Scott and I were both covered of winter clothings. He also did a little bit fixing and cleaning of his car most especially the windshield because of the snow. After a few minutes while waiting for Scott to be finish on what he is doing, I just started cleaning up the house most especially the kitchen because we are going to cook pretty soon for our Christmas dinner. Scott is really a good husband. He is the one who cooked for our Christmas dinner. He said that he likes cooking for me.. for his wife. I can’t really ask for more. I’m so proud of him and he is really a good cook. We have some steaks, ham, mashed potatoes, macaroni cheese, garlic bread and shrimp sautee in butter which is my favorite..lol..mmmm..yummy! I do really love it!!! It’s because I like eating seafoods. The steaks and ham were both good too. It was one of my best dinners again like in ‘Thanksgiving’. We were both full after our feast..lol..Since Scott already did the cooking part so time for Ashley for cleaning up..lol..We just like helping each other as always, as husband and wife. Of course taking pictures will not be forgotten too. We also talked on the phone to our families and freinds here in USA and Philippines to greet them a ‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’. In fact, I talked to my family for an hour or so because I’ve missed them so much most especially this Christmas Season. My husband talked to them too which is so nice because we are family. We received a lot of greeting cards too this Christmas Season. It just so nice to know that we’ve got a lot of families and freinds here in USA and in the Philippines. We do really appreciated all of them. Christmas Season is time of giving and sharing too. It’s a time of joy and peace. A time of love and forgiving. It was really nice to celebrate this special ocassions of us together with your love one. Anyway, after we finished eating our dinner, we then started watching Dvd movies together. While we are both keeping ourselves warm inside the house. And before we go to bed in that Christmas Day, Scott said this to me " Baby this is the Best Christmas that I ever had in my life"…with you…

Snow Blizard in Colorado!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 11:50 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2006

We’ve got ’snow blizard’ here yesterday in Colorado Springs. The wind was blowing so fast and strong. It’s all white outside covered with a lot of snow. It looks like a ‘dessert’ that you can’t see the surrounding at all. The snow kept showering and it was very foggy outside. Mostly of the roads here in Colorado Springs were all closed. The same thing with the few Businesses/Establishments here. In fact the Governor here was declared CO in state of emergency yesterday. I’m sure it will be a big news all over the States. Scott didn’t work for two consecutive days because T-Mobile was closed. They don’t have work because of the snow storm. It’s really better to stay at home because it’s kinda dangerous outside. It’s still very cold outside up to now and the snow was really thick. Yesterday since it’s not a good idea to go outside, I’m just watching the showering of snow outside from the windows inside our house. Scott also took a couple of pictures of the snow blizard outside from our windows inside the house. I can say it’s pretty but omg…it’s dangerous to go outside there..lol..We will definitely have a ‘White Christmas’ here in Colorado Springs. We just heared in the news before that during ‘Christmas Day’ there will be a showering of snow here again. Scott and I just kept ourselves warm inside the house yesterday. It’s all good that we have furnace and heaters in the house to keep both of us warm. We were just relaxing inside the house for the two days, just ate and then watched movies. Today we just did some baking of brownies and making some Jell-O with fruit cocktails for this coming Christmas Eve of ours. Another good thing is for the two days that Scott didn’t work, it was also paid. T-Mobile really knows how to treat their employees every once in a while. And to the mere fact that we’ve got ’snow storm’ here in CO. We tried to went outside tonight and omg…we’ve seen few cars stranded and stucked in every parts of the roads because of that snow storm. I’m kinda worried about going out tonight but I trust Scott and he knows how to drive car in the snow. Fortunately, we came back in our house safely and we just went in the corner store though so it’s not bad at all. Hopefully the weather tomorrow will be better than yesterday and today. It’s kinda hard for Scott to go to work tomorrow because of the snow. It’s slippery and thick. He knows how to handle it though and he is always driving very carefully. Few of our family and freinds called us also on the phone and checked up on us. They just showing their concerns about us but we were both doing fine and safe in our home here. But we really appreciated it. At the same token, even though we’ve got ’snow blizard’ here at least Scott and I spent our time together. It’s just a simple things of our lives that make both of us happy, as husband and wife.

Christmas is coming to town. Everybody are excited for this coming Holiday. Christmas Season is very important occassion. It’s a time of Peace and Joy. Mostly everyone are looking forward for this Season. It’s a time of Hope and Forgiveness. It’s a time of sharing and giving. It’s all everything!!! In fact, Scott and I are both excited for Christmas Season too. We already got a Christmas Tree decorated with different ornaments inside the house. Last weekend, we were both enjoying decorating our house with a lot of Christmas stuffs. I like what we did with our Christmas Tree. It was really came out pretty!!! We’ve got different Christmas ornaments hanging in our windows and from our doors. It was really enjoying decorating!!!We’ve got different Christmas decors like garlands, santa claus, wreath, santa socks, bells, deer, angel etc…in the house right now. It’s just a nice feeling knowing that Christmas is coming. I like listening to Christmas songs every once in a while too most especially while I’m busy cleaning our house. We just bought a couple of Christmas music Cd’s in waliword "Walmart" before. And of course part of it is the ’snow’, so that it’s white Christmas.  I like watching the showering of snow outside from our window inside the house. ‘Christmas Eve’ will be another feast again. Since we already cooked turkey last "Thanksgiving Day". This time we are going to have some ham and steaks. Dessert will not be forgotten too. I can feel the essence of Christmas now. I also got the list of all the persons whom I’m going to send Christmas cards. Just to keep in touch with them and letting them know how valuable they are for both of us. Like I’ve mentioned before Christmas is giving. Our living room and kitchen are full of Christmas decorations now. It just show that we like celebrating Christmas together. This is our first Christmas together like our Birthdays and Thanksgiving Day. It will be interesting for both of us, Scott and I. This is definitely most curious…indeed! We are both looking forward for this coming Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!!!

Our Thanksgiving Celebration!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 10:02 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Last Thanksgiving Day was really a blast for both of us. Scott and I cooked the whole turkey and it was really came out good. Yummy!!! It was really a feast for the two of us. We’ve got a lot of foods in that time. We just celebrated it in our house here in CS. Because mostly of our families are living there in California. Anyway, in that day once we woke up, we started preparing the turkey. Scott did a lot of works in that regards. In fact he is the one who really cooked the whole turkey. I was just there helping him in preparing and cooking the turkey. He is also the one who cooked the turkey stuffings which came out good too. We put the stuffings inside the turkey, put the turkey in the oven and then we let it cook for about 6 hours. We always checked the turkey every 30 minutes to make sure that it will really be cook. Scott always basing the turkey with the melted butter so that turkey will not get dry. After a few hours when the turkey soon to be cook, I started cooking the side dishes then. I cooked mashed potatoes and corn. I also prepared the gravy sauce for the turkey. I sliced different fruits too and then I placed it in the tray. The turkey was cooked finally and it was really delicious. It was very tasty! Scott chopped the turkey, separated the white meat from the dark meat. We are both eating while Scott is chopping the turkey..lol..After that, I arranged the foods in the kitchen counter so that it will looks like presentable. We’ve got so many foods; of course the turkey which is our main course, mashed potatoes, corn, fruits, cheese cakes, choco fudge, ice cream, and even "whitezin" wine. Before we start eating our dinner, we just toss and drink our wine together. And then we both said "Happy Thanksgiving Baby". It was really nice celebrating different occassions with your love one like this past ‘Thanksgiving Day’. We were both full after we have eaten our dinner. I can say that it was one of my best dinners! We just relaxed and then enjoyed ourselves by watching movies inside our house. It’s just good to know that we were both happy celebrating that "Thanksgiving Day." This is our first ‘Thanksgiving’ together. That occassion is very important for us. It is like thanking God for all the blessings He had given for both of us, Scott and I. Anyway, we still got left overs up to now from that ocassion..lol..We just like celebrating different ocassions together and enjoying ourselves. It was really a good experienced for both of us, most especially for me. You know, it was just a nice feeling celebrating that moment with my beloved Scott. I thank God for him and for ALL EVERYTHING!!!

My Birthday Celebration!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 9:27 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2006

We’ve both celebrated my Birthday last November 18th of this year. It was really a wondeful day for both Scott and I. We do really have a good time together. It was a special day of my life. It’s really important for the two of us. We are both happy in that moment most especially me. Because that was my day. Scott did a lot of surprises for me. Before my Birthday comes, we already did a pre-shopping for myself. Scott bought me few winter/warm clothings, to keep me warm during a cold weather. He also gave me a scrapbooking kit/goodies. Because he knows that I like doing that stuffs in my free time. Of course, he also did surprised me with a bouquet of pink roses and a lovely card. It made me cried when I’m reading his messages for me:

As our reationship has grown, I find that my definition of love has grown with it. I used to think of love in terms of romance and passion, excitement and adventure. But although I enjoy that part of our relationship as much as ever, I’ve discovered that there are many other meanings to love. It means trusting myself with someone who has seen me at my worst and loves me, anyway. It means teasing each other and laughing at inside jokes nobody understands but us. It means feeling safe enough to talk about difficult subjects and having the patience to work out disagreements. It means counting on someone who sympathizes when I’ve had a bad day, takes care of me when I’m sick, worries wbout me when I’m gone too long, and always welcomes me home with open arms. Love means so many things, but to me, LOVE IS YOU.

It was a tears of joy! My heart filled with so much happiness in that moment. I gave him a lot of kisses and hugs then. During my Birthday, Scott and I went to ‘cross-cutters’ for the trimming of my hair. We also went to St. Patrict Catholic Church because it was my Birthday.  I used to went to the Church every Birthday of mine when I was still there in the Philippines. The purpose is to thanks God for all the blessings He had given to me. For my new life and for giving my beloved husband to me. Scott is there with me all the time. He is there with me, supporting me and enjoying that special day of my life. And of course it will not be forgotten, we went to the Chapel Hills Mall for my shopping moments…lol…you know that I love SHOPPING…lol…Scott bought me a chinese clothings in the Oriental Store at the Mall. It’s really beautiful and the material is really good. Because it was imported in China. Scott told me that I look like Chinese girl with those cute outfits. In fact, he took a couple pictures of myself wearing those clothings. He also bought me a new pair of ’snickers’ for easy going out and also for practicing driving. Scott is really a sweetheart!!! He did those surprises for his one and only ‘babycakes’ and that is me!!!…lol…His surprises are not yet finish. Scott also take me out for a dinner after my shopping free. We went to "Golden Coral Restaurant" for our dinner date together. It’s a kinda buffet type of Restaurant where there’s a lot of foods. There are different sections of foods like chicken, steaks, pasta, veggies, fruits, desserts and etc…OMG…We were both full in that time when we got back home. It’s funny I even have own balloon from the Restaurant. It’s a pink balloon!…lol…And when the employees are going to start singing "Happy Birthday" for me, we are in a hurry going out from the Restaurant. It’s because I’m really shy…lol…After that we went to ‘Blockbuster’ and then rented few movies for our entertainment in home. We just watched movies for the whole  night in that day of my Birthday. We are just relaxing after a long day and enjoy ourselves together. Again, I would like to thank all of my families and freinds for the warmth greetings they had given for my last wonderful Birthday.

My Special Day is coming…

Filed under: Uncategorized — ashleyscott at 10:02 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2006

Oh, Yeah! My special day is coming so soon…Guess what? Of course, it’s my Birthday. It’s Ashley’s Birthday! I don’t want to get old…lol…But it’s ok then, I’m still young though…lol…That is the important day of my life, like Scott’s Birthday. I will not elaborate it more further because you know it already…lol…Anyways, yesterday my ‘Baby Scott’ already bought few stuffs for his ‘Babycakes’ and that is me. He bought a winter clothings for me as a pre-shopping for my incoming Birthday. Thanks God my Birthday is on weekend. It means Scott is available. That day is his day-off. Yehey! No need for him to file vacation leave in order for us to be together in my Birthday. I just remembered last night before we go to bed, he asked me what I like to do in my Birthday? Did you know what is my answer? Of course it’s capital S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G…lol…Scott knows that already, he is just jerking my chain…lol…He said "Ok baby, I already set aside money for your shopping moments". I was jumping on our bed like a kid in that time. Yes, he asked me but I know he got plan already about the celebration of my Birthday. I know him well and he likes surprising me. I like that too, it’s like "life is full of surprises" and "expect the unexpected"…lol…Anyway, this is my first Birthday with my ‘baby Scott’. Just like him too. Our first Birthdays together. Wow! We have known each other for almost 3 years now. We’ve met year 2004, got married last year 2005 and I got here in USA by this year 2006. Just flashback…I still recall Scott Birthday gifts for me before: last November 2004, Scott gave me a birthstone necklace and a CD music player; November 2005, he gave me digital camera and my "scottybear" stuffed toy. Oh well! And now year 2006, I’m sure it will be another surprise for me. But you know what? I already got my best gift and that is him…’my baby Scott’…I can’t ask for more now. He is the best thing that happpen to my life. I want to thank God for giving him to me…who is the love of my life…and the one who gives meaning to my life. Years easily past by and we are still stick together like ‘peas and carrots’…lol…Our relationship grows stronger than before. It grows beautifully than ever. We truly understand and love each other. "We are Mr. and Mrs. Seligman". I would like to thank all of my families too here in USA and in the Philippines. It’s really a good feeling to received Birthday cards from all of them. And to all of my freinds who are always keeping in touch with me, I thank you kindly…
